From the "tooting our own horn" department of Straight Goods: Canadian Internet pioneer and journalist Jim Carroll has decided to officially recommend Straight Goods to his readers.
 

  Carroll, co-author of the 2000 Canadian Internet Directory and Research Guide, said in a note last week:
  "I'll probably disagree with 50% of what I see in your site, but I'll agree with the other 50%. As a freelancer, for example your article on iCrave struck a chord; as did the article about privacy (which I try to raise awareness on too.) Good work; the site goes on my 'recommended' list."
