Jeffrey Dorfman's response to Larry Solway

  My response is simple. The Canadian Alliance has an open and inclusive membership policy. Our 250,000 plus members reflect Canada's regional, ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity. That I, and many others who represent minority groups are welcome within the Alliance demonstrates the party's success. Please do not insult my intelligence by suggesting I would belong to a party that discriminates against any individual, culture or race.
  This brings us to Mr. Solway's "Irritation 3". The Canadian Alliance is gaining support for our prudent fiscal policy; our commitment to cutting taxes to help families and businesses; our commitment to restoring and improving universal health care; and finally, our commitment to national defense and law enforcement. That the Liberals are loosing votes - Jewish or otherwise - because of their myopic and judgmental approach to the current conflict in Israel, is their own fault. Is the Liberal propensity to exacerbate tensions in the Middle East a strong enough reason to change your vote? Maybe it is for some. But as Mr. Solway has pointed out, there are plenty of other reasons to vote against the Liberals.
